In Detail MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation Review, Swatches and My Experience (Shade: NC 30) The MAC Studio fix fluid foundation was one of the brand foundations (many shades) in my professional kit when as a newbie Artist I was looking for a good base for the clients and after lots of good reviews and some recommendations I decided to buy this. Packaging The MAC Pro Longwear Foundation comes in a sturdy glass bottle with a pump dispenser hence you need not buy one additionally unlike the MAC Studio Fix Fluid. The pump dispenses just the right amount and I usually need 2-3 pumps for both the face and neck. I have travelled numerous times with this and never did it break once so yes its travel friendly despite being a glass bottle.
Hello! ♡
It's been nearly TWO months since my last post omg (x___x) so much for trying to be more active on this blog. Sorry for not being back sooner!
(also, have you noticed? I changed the layout/design of my blog hehe >w< I might still do more adjustments to it ^^)
So I'm back with a short (?) and quick post. Here I will show a shade comparison between the foundations and BB creams that I currently own ^^ I've only left out my Laneige BB cushion, and two CC creams that I own because their color is pretty much white when squeezed out until you blend it thoroughly into your skin for it to change color. ah… I also realized I left out an all-natural/organic cream foundation I own…. gah. My fish brain forgot. Next time then!! ^^;;
So, I'm comparing the shades of the following foundations and BB creams:
MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC20
Missha Signature Real Complete BB Cream in #21
Hera CC Cream in 01 Pink Beige
Dior Diorskin Star Foundation in shade 21
Etude House Stay Up Foundation in Pure and Ivory
BRTC Gold Caviar BB Cream (one shade)
Gowoonsesang Dr. G Beyond Young Bling Bling (BB) Cream (one shade)
I'm basing the color comparisons on the knowledge that the skin on my face was matched to the shade NC20 last year August, so that is what I'll compare the others to, since MAC shades are quite commonly known. To be honest, NC20 is slightly too dark for my skin, but the next shade up, NC15, is too light (it's practically white haha. Transfer between macs. WHY on earth MAC doesn't make a shade in between to compensate for the giant shade gap between NC15 and 20… I don't know).
The skin on the inside of my arm (that I swatched everything on) is quite lighter than my face. It could be considered being more matched to NC15. This will be visible in the pictures later on, where it can be seen that the NC20 foundation is too dark.
So~ here we begin ^^
Best gambling songs. (yes I have a lot of makeup lol. the collection over a year's time haha)
{ out from their containers }
{ lightly spread out }
{ blended out / not completely blended }
The breakdown:
MAC:
Quite clearly too yellow for my skin, but for my face (which has a bit more yellow than my arm) it's okay. This foundation matches my face well enough, but is too dark for my liking. It also oxidizes slightly after I have it on, so then it becomes way too warm and dark. I might have to visit MAC again to be re-shade matched ^^; I've always thought my skin was heavily yellow-based, but nowadays I seem to notice neutral tones work much better on me.
Missha:
Significantly lighter than NC20, and decidedly neutral-pink. To be honest, this has quite a bit of a gray shade to it, as many BB creams do. Fortunately, the gray/white cast fades after a while after being applied. When first applied, this BB cream is too light for my face, but after a few minutes it settles nicely and just has a good brightening effect to my skin.
Hera:
This is actually from just a 5ml sample of the CC cream that I have. The color is good enough, initially I thought it wasn't compatible with my skintone because it's supposed to be 'Pink Beige', but I think it matches with my skin very well and brightens my complexion slightly. Looking closely, it even looks more yellow than Missha's BB cream, despite being 'Pink Beige'.
Dior:
Initially I had bought the Star foundation in 010 because everything seemed too dark (including 021, which I have). But 010 is quite strongly neutral, and quite white. It didn't suit my skin at all, so I went one shade down, in the yellow category, which was 021 that I have now. It blends satisfactorily with my skin on its own, however, I find it dulls my face because it is a bit too dark. Whenever I wear this, I mix it with Innisfree's Mineral Tone Changer #2, which is basically a white-yellow liquid makeup that helps lighten the foundation. If Dior had a 011 shade for the Star foundation (which is a lighter, yellow shade), that would be a much better match for me.
Sims freeplay mac. Etude House:
Pure and Ivory are two shades that are quite close to each other, just that Pure is on the pink side and Ivory is on the neutral-yellow side. To date, this foundation in Ivory is the shade that I like the very best out of all face makeup I own, because it is warmer toned, and finally bright enough. Most yellow-toned foundations and BBs here and from Korea tend to be the darker, warmer shades. For some reason the lighter tones are usually pink based, which is quite annoying, as it makes it difficult to find a suitable foundation shade =__=; When blended into my skin Pure looks odd on me because it's quite pink, but Ivory gives the perfect natural brightness to me. In the photos it appears as if both are too light for my skin, but that's just because it's not thoroughly blended. Ivory especially blends perfectly into my skin.
BRTC:
At first glance, it looks to be the best match to my skin compared to everything else. It suits my skin color okay, it blends incredibly well so it looks like a perfect match, but it actually is bit too dark. It's a shame because I LOVE the formula of this BB cream but it does absolutely nothing to brighten and enliven my complexion TT___TT I still use this quite often because it gives such a flawless finish and lasts hours without oiling up on my face. I just top it with a light-colored powder so it will suit my skin color better. People with NC20 skin can use this well enough, but I think it would be better suited to those with NC25 shade skin.
Gowoonsesang:
This is a medium-light pinkish beige, a nice color that blends well into my skin despite its pink base. It gives a good enough brightness to my skin that is more natural looking than say, Missha's.
So that's it! Shade comparison and my usual habit of writing too much and getting into lots of detail ^^; but, I hope this was useful to you out there in helping you to choose some of these foundations and BB creams if you are considering them and need to know about the shades. I hope to be back soon with a review (I have one nearly done, Aritaum's Honey Melting Tint) but we'll see when that will happen ^^;)/
Have a lovely day~ :3 Bwin casino review.

Review, Swatches, Price of MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation SPF 15 in Shade NC 43.5
I am super excited today as it is my first review on VNA. I am so happy to be a part of Team VNA. Today, I have my very first foundation from MAC on board to show. Mac is quite popular for their base products. Like any girl without thinking much I stepped into the Mac store. After trying several foundations from liquids to compact powders, I settled down to the popular Mac Studio Fix Fluid foundation which I will review and swatch today in shade NC 43.5. Did I find my right match? How much did I like the foundation? If you want to know more, then keep reading this blog. Please do share your thoughts about my review and encourage me to spend more.
Base makeup is very important for any makeup look, be it a soft natural or a dramatic look. A foundation which is of good match and finish will win over a lot of hearts. I was very keen to get my perfect match ‘holy grail' foundation after exploring the beauty world. Before starting my review, I would like to share a few points on my skin. I have a medium wheatish Indian skin tone. My skin is of combination type so I need products which would not accumulate oil or shine after application.
My Review of MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation:
Packaging:
Mac Nc20 Foundation
The Mac Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 foundation comes in a solid glass bottle packaging. The bottle is transparent and comes with a black screw type cap. The cap is very sturdy but I dropped it several times and there's a big crack in my cap. The shade number is printed at the bottom of the bottle. The foundation bottle has a wide opening and you need to buy a pump dispenser separately if you want to take out the product without any mess. I really wished the mac foundation was provided with a pump dispenser as it would be very convenient to take the right amount of product easily. Overall, the packaging is quite heavy but the cap being tight makes it comfortable for travel.
Shade:
The studio fix foundation is available in a number of shades and everyone could get a good match without much hassle. I picked up the shade NC 43.5. The shade is a bit dark for my face color which is quite disappointing. It makes me look slightly orangish, to make it look better I use a lighter colored compact to settle down the tint. I am currently NC42 which means I have yellow undertones to my skin tone. I highly recommend you to test the mac foundation for a good match really well before buying it. You can try the foundation in the store, then walk around the mall and check it under natural lighting before purchasing it.
Formula:
Mac Nc20 Concealer
The consistency of the studio fluid foundation is quite thick. But it blends easily with a sponge, flat brush or with a fluffy stippling brush. I don't like the finish I get by working the product with hands. I recommend you to moisturize your skin prior to application of the foundation as it is quite thick. It doesn't feel very heavy on the skin. As I have combination skin, I like to set the foundation with a translucent powder or a lighter color powder to avoid oil or shine on my t zone area. The foundation has SPF 15 protection so it would not look good on photographs especially with flash. The formula is quite water-proof henceforth you would require a good makeup remover to get rid of the foundation completely.
Coverage:
The coverage of the spf 15 foundation is medium to full coverage. It does cover up light redness, blemishes and uneven areas of the skin quite well by building it up. If you have very deep scars you might need a concealer to get a flawless finish. The mac foundation doesn't look cakey which is a great pro for a product with good coverage.
Staying power:
It lasts up to 5 to 6 hours and after that slowly fades away. Priming your skin prior to application of the studio fix foundation and also setting it with a compact powder after application can increase longevity of the product.
What are the pros of the Mac Studio Fix Fluid foundation SPF 15:
- Sturdy packaging
- Limited shade selection
- It comes with spf 15
- It does not look cakey.
- Blends without leaving any patches.
- It doesn't feel very heavy on the skin.
- It is long staying.
- Shade range is really good.
What are the cons of the Mac Studio Fix Fluid foundation SPF 15:
- It doesn't come with a pump dispenser.
- The foundation contains Spf so it doesn't photograph well.
- It might not suit very dry skin
Price in India: Rs.2500 for 30ml (I got it for Rs.1800 5-6 months back. An additional 500-700 if we decide to go for the pump)

Final words: Overall, this is a good foundation and works best for normal, combination to oily skin. I would not recommend it for dry skinned beauties. If you are not on a tight budget and looking for a good coverage foundation then this product will be a good buy. The shade range is wide and excellent for Indian skin tone but picking up the correct shade is quite challenging!
